Pachmarhi is surrounded by greenery of different shades from tranquil emerald pools, rolling green hills, and the thick, impenetrable lush green forest cover that dominates the region. One of its main attractions is the splendid view it offers at dusk, when the red sandstone scarp takes on the color of the sky, in various shades of purple and violet, as the glorious sunsets on Pachmarhi.

ITINERARY

Arrival, Pachmarhi

On your arrival you will be picked up from Pipariya or Bhopal and driven to the hotel. Complete check-in formalities and freshen up. The rest of the day you are free to explore nearby areas and market places. It is advisable to remain within the city limits while venturing out as it can get risky as predators roam about at night.

Pachmarhi Sightseeing

After breakfast get ready to explore Pachmarhi. Visit major attractions in this pristine hill station. Bee Fall- a 35 m high popular waterfall, it is ideal for nature-lovers. Apsara Vihar- it is a small waterfall which is about 30 feet high and a naturally formed pool. Rajendra Giri- a beautiful lookout point from where you can get the most beautiful views of Pachmarhi. Reechgarh- A natural cave with openings at both ends. Dhupgarh sunset point- the highest peak of the Satpura ranges with the most amazing sunset views. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Sightseeing : Departure

After breakfast check out of the hotel and get ready to visit the Jatashankar Caves which has 108 natural Shivling and witness the wonders of nature. Next visit Mahadeo cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. From Mahadeo visit Gupt Mahadev which is near the Mahadeo cave temple. This cave is also dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon visit Pandav Caves from which the name of Pachmarhi was derived. These are five beautiful caves carved out of sandstone in a low hillock. People also believe these caves was the place where the Pandavas and Draupadi spent their exile. It is also believed to have been carved out during the time of Buddha. These caves are now protected monuments. In the evening you will be dropped at Pipariya railway station for your departure.
